"Yeah, we'll see."
Greg grinned back and gave her a little head nod as he started to walk away. Rachel watched him for a moment before sighing and turning back towards her car. She was about to climb in when she heard Greg's voice again.
"Oh, Rach! Tell your boy Kevin I said what's up. He was a cool guy. What are y'all getting up to anyway?"
Rachel stopped and turned back to face where Greg had stopped. The angle of the afternoon sun hit her eyes and she brought a hand up to shield her face. Glancing quickly down at her feet, she looked back at him and responded.
"Taylor Reed has their prom tomorrow."
She swallowed and smiled casually.
"I'm his date."
