Jamie's Story

"Anna, you are a very smart and pretty girl, you don't need to end up with a gym-rat Neanderthal like Jason. Give yourself some time, honey and let Becky help you over this. Some little piece of me will always have great affection for you." I let that sink in and then said,

"I will leave enough for the tab and tip at the front counter. Finish your lunch, and cooperate with Becky and Becca to get my stuff out of the apartment. I am not coming back there. Now give me a kiss Anna and you take care."

She rose when I did, and starting to cry again, threw her arms around my neck, and gave me a very wet kiss, as I slid my hands over her back, and down to her hips massaging her side in an affectionate way. I didn't want to let go of her, but I did. She sat down weeping with her hands covering her face. I turned to leave, left the money with the pretty girl at the front counter, who asked if my friend was okay. I smiled and said,

"Yes, honey. She will be just fine!"

On the way back to work, I stopped to call Rebecca at the library, she answered, and I simply said,

"I'll cook you dinner tonight, so come home right after work, Becca!"

I could hear her breathe in sharply and then release it almost tearfully. I seem to be making all my girls cry today, but hers were tears of joy that I was not going back with Anna. I heard her say, in a soft tearful voice,

"Oh Jamie! Yes! Yes, I'll be home on time!"
