"First you tried to kill his mother," Noah snapped. "Then you tried to steal his wealth. Please, leave this house so that we can live in peace."

Noah looked at him, yearning to slap him but he couldn't do it. He stormed out of the room with his wife. Now all that remained was Victoria, Emily, granny and Jake.

Without saying a word to him they all just left and he was now alone in the room. It felt cold and quiet. That was the place where all his good memories with Nicholas had started and now they were sad memories. It was really painful.

Adrian felt the mother of all pains take over. His knees felt weak, his body spasm in pain and his heart was hurting. How did they become like that? How did things get like that? The only thing that he wanted was to just die right there. Maybe all the pain would go away after he dies.

Adrian felt really weak that his strength left him. His body was giving up on him and he was dumbstruck. He fell on the floor and began crying. He cried so much thinking about how his life hard turned out to be. Whoever was doing that to him had defeated him. He was now a loser.

"Nicholas!" Adrian gave out a loud, painful scream that filled the whole room.

He had never been hurt like that before. He cried of pain, anguish and failure.

He sat on that cold floor and cried like never before. Tears were flooding his face and his headache was getting worse by the second. The only thing that was heard in the room was sounds of his painful sobs.

Adrian cried and cried and cried. He didn't want to stop. He just wanted to cry himself to death. Maybe the pain would be gone.

****

Nicholas had his leg on the accelerator and he was driving at top speed. Suddenly something made him hit the break, almost sending him out the windscreen. He was lucky he was stopped by his seat belt. He had no idea he was even wearing that seatbelt.

He quickly unbuckled the seat belt and got out of the car. Tears had already flooded his face and the pain had just gone from bad to worse. His head was on fire and his strength had left him long ago. He got out, had his hands on his thighs and screamed out in pain. It was on the road but he didn't care.

He just wanted to scream the pain out which by the way was not working. Realizing that nothing was working for him, Nicholas slowly knelt on the ground, dropped his head and cried. He cried of pain, betrayal, anger and love.

Those things were making him cry. He had loved, married and made Adrian his life partner only to find out that the guy had a motive? It was really painful. He didn't care who the hell saw him crying on the road. He didn't even care if the president himself passed there and saw him crying. He had to cry it out. It was just too much.

Nicholas held the sand in his hands and beat his hands hard on the ground. He wanted that pain released before he went crazy. He didn't like the way he was feeling.

"Why?" Nicholas screamed, sobbing so badly. "Why did you betray me like this? I loved you...I did," He sobbed. "I love you so much."

Nicholas couldn't do it anymore. His heart was on fire and he had no idea whether he was sweating or it was just the tears that travelled all the way to his chest. All that he felt was pain, intense pain that would make any man weak no matter how strong he was.

He sat on that road and cried to himself. He was a fool for loving and trusting that Adrian loved him. If only he could turn back time. Of all the people that had to hurt him why would it have to be Adrian? Maybe if he had followed his mother's decision he wouldn't have been hurting like that.

Nicholas sat and cried on that road for almost an hour. He was drawn to the pain that he didn't even hear the screeching of a car nearby. The only thing he felt were two hands slowly holding his shoulders. He looked weakly and saw George looking at him with tears in his eyes. It was clear that his best friend was in pain too.

"Why?" Adrian cried. "Why did he have to do this to me?"

"Shh," George whispered, bringing his head closer to his chest.

Nicholas got the hint and he buried his head in George's chest, clenching on his shirt furiously. Then he broke down and cried his heart out. Every tear that fell from his eyes was burning his skin with pain and torture. He cried like a little child right there on the road.

Seeing Nicholas' condition made George's eyes to water. He had not seen his best friend looking like that before. He had just mended his relationship with Adrian and now this. George was mad at Adrian for this but his heart was telling him that something was going on. He believed Adrian was not guilty of all the allegations but right then his friend needed him the most.

"Please, let's go," George said, feeling extremely bad for his friend. "We need to leave from here."

"No," Nicholas sobbed and he took more of George's shirt in his hands. "I just wanna cry. I don't wanna go home."

"It's okay," George sighed. "I'll not take you home. I'll take you to a place where you'll be able to cry, let it all out, scream and cry some more. That place will make you calm too,"

"No," Nicholas cried. "I love him so much. "

"I know," George sobbed. "I know you do."

Nicholas cried some more. He felt better in George's chest and he eventually stopped crying. The pain was still much but he stopped crying. He knew it was a pain that he was gonna have to carry for the rest of his life. He needed to move on. He couldn't just stay like that.

But he couldn't forget Adrian either, He cried. He could still see his wonderful kisses, love making and making out. Was that all a lie? They seemed so real and that fucking hurt. Adrian had been leading him on after all. Why didn't he realize it sooner?

His heart was weeping and it was bleeding. He just wanted to cry it out and forget about everything that had happened.

****

Adrian had been sitting on that floor crying for so many hours. He could tell it was dark but the tears couldn't stop flowing. His eyes were swollen from crying and the pain kept on increasing each second. He felt like he'd been struck by lighting and burned alive. If only there was a way all that pain could go away but there just wasn't any way.

He tried to stand up but his strength failed him. He felt weak and helpless without Nicholas. Nicholas had never said something so painful. He was always a sweet husband and now Adrian didn't even know what his husband had turned into.

He couldn't stay like that. He needed to talk to Nicholas and try to explain things to him. He needed to know if his husband was willing to give him a chance to make their lives a little better.

Realizing all that he had to do, Adrian gathered his strength and got up. He rubbed his tears slowly, glanced at the clock and got the surprise of his life. He couldn't believe he'd been sitting in that room, crying nonstop for more than eight hours. He had no seen Nicholas since and it was kinda hurting him like crazy.

He figured he didn't need to face anyone at that moment so he sat at the edge of the bed waiting and hoping Nicholas could come back quickly. He knew his husband was probably crying somewhere but he just hoped when he comes home they'd be able to sort things. Nicholas loved him and that was what was important to him. Nothing else mattered.

He sat on that bed for like ages. The pain was increasing and every beat was like torture. Waiting for so long made him feel sad and was at the verge of crying. A tear fell down his cheek but he quickly rubbed it and took a deep painful breath that made his whole body ache.

He sat there for almost an hour before...the door flung open. He looked at the door and saw Nicholas standing there, sad, hopeless and furious. His eyes were red and he was shaking terribly. He was staring at Adrian as if he wanted to kill him. That sent shivers down Adrian's spine. He had no idea if he'd survive if at all Nicholas decided to beat him up.

Nicholas was furious. Seeing the boy on that bed just made him reach his maximum. He felt adrenaline rushing to his entire body and suddenly it was hot. He was filled with a lot of energy, clenching his fists. He was dying of making that boy pay.

He held the door in his hand and forcefully closed it which made the floor itself shake. Clenching his fists he began walking to the bed. Each step made him angrier and the more he stared the more he wanted to beat Adrian up.

He got closer, ready to beat Adrian to a pulp. Yes, that was what he was going to do. His jaws were shaking terribly and he felt hot. As he got ready to raise his fist he felt a certain force in his body. Then he realized that he couldn't do it. He couldn't hurt Adrian no matter what he had done.

It was really hurting but the best to do was avoiding him and probably forget about him. He changed his direction and was now heading to the other side of the bed. He needed to rest his head after a long and painful day. Had it not been for George taking him to the beach he wouldn't have definitely felt a little better. He would have killed himself and end it all.

Adrian saw Nicholas' pain. That was the same pain that he was feeling. He didn't like seeing him like that and avoiding him was probably the best idea. But...he couldn't do it. He needed to talk to him before things got out of hand.

Adrian quickly stood up and looked at Nicholas who was getting ready to go under the covers.

"I need to talk to you." He said softly.

Nicholas felt so much pain when he heard Adrian's voice. It was like voice was torturing him emotionally. The pain was unbearable.

Instead of saying something he continued getting ready for bed. He didn't need to talk to Adrian at all. Not after finding out a painful truth about him. He didn't even need to see that face which made him fume. Things had been great in the morning and now he was experiencing the worst pain ever.

Nicholas heard Adrian's footsteps get closer and he began seething. If Adrian got any closer he'd do something bad to him.

"I said I...."

"What?" Nicholas seethed, looking angrily at Adrian.

"I said..."

"I heard you." Nicholas grumbled, holding back his anger. "Can't I get some peace? I don't want to talk to you...ever."

Adrian was hurt but he couldn't do what Nicholas was saying. He needed to talk to him.

"Please..."

"I said I don't wanna talk." Nicholas snapped, raising his hand to slap Adrian.

He suddenly withdrew and hit punches on the bed angrily. He was growling, panting and screaming. He didn't want to see Adrian in that room because he had no idea what he would do to him.

"Get out!" Nicholas growled. "I don't wanna see you."

Adrian didn't want to leave. He had no idea how he would make Nicholas calm so he took a step of courage and slowly lowered his hand on his husband. He touched him on the back and suddenly he was furiously slammed to the wall, hitting his back violently, it hurt. When he looked he saw Nicholas staring at him, panting and shaking. His eyes were red and filled with anger and veins were popping on his face.

Something scared him even more. Nicholas had his fist directed at his face and it got him scared at worried. It was clear he wasn't gonna survive that. Nicholas had never acted like that before and that only showed Adrian that he was deeply hurt.

Then he saw the fist flying to his face and he closed his eyes shut, his heart pounding in his chest. He was ready to receive the pain that was gonna come. If it was gonna make Nicholas any better he was ready to do it all for him.

Then he heard his husband roaring angrily and a noise that was loud. Nicholas had hit something hard for sure and it was not him. Adrian opened his eyes and saw his husband panting with his fist on the wall. Nicholas had hit the wall and not him. Maybe he still loved him.

"Nic,"

"Get out!" Nicholas growled, breathing so violently.

That was it. Adrian didn't want to make his husband anymore upset. He felt warm tears running down his cheeks and he covered his mouth, looked at his husband one more time and he rushed out the room. If he stayed there any time longer he'd never survive the night.

Nicholas cried after Adrian left. He had never been hurt like that. On one hand he was yearning to be with Adrian and on the other he wanted to hurt him so much. He was confused, sad, angry and hurt. There was nothing else to do but cry and that's exactly what he did.

He slowly knelt on the floor and let the pain take over his life. He began crying again as the pain hit him this time harder.

The warm tears that were coming out of his eyes were somehow making him a little better. He knew he was gonna cry for a long time.

***

Adrian came out of the room and leaned to a wall. He was really hurt by what had happened in the room. He was unable to breathe properly and his head was being tortured. His eyes were swollen but he couldn't stop crying.

He was weak and needed a room to sleep in. There were many rooms but he needed a room which was not close to Nicholas'. He needed to give him time at least before he probably threw him out of the house. Adrian could feel that this misunderstanding would eventually lead to their break up but he was helpless. He didn't know what to do and he had no idea who was doing this to him.

Adrian slowly rubbed his tears and took slow painful walks away from Nicholas' room. His mind and heart were in that room. He was just a walking zombie who was unable to think properly. All he wanted to do was rest his poor little head for many hours. Even his eyes could use a little shut eye.

Adrian walked slowly going in the direction of the stairs when he suddenly saw something that took his mind. It was Jake and he was hurrying somewhere. Adrian didn't know where Jake was rushing but he found himself following him.

He had no idea why he was following him but his heart was telling him to do so. He picked up his pace, rubbing his eyes softly. His heart was beating and his mind was determined to find out where Jake was headed at that hour. Adrian knew that something was up because Jake wouldn't be in a hurry at 11.pm when everyone else was sleeping.

Adrian followed him till he reached...Victoria's room. He knocked and the door opened. Adrian hid and saw Victoria looking around and then Jake entered. Okay, something was definitely not right. Why was Victoria looking around as if she was hiding something?

It was either they were up to no good or they were having an affair. That was the only thing that crossed Adrian's mind. But he needed to find out the reason or rather what they were doing when everyone else was sleeping.

Adrian slowly walked towards the door. Victoria's room was quite isolated from other rooms so whatever she did no one knew but Adrian was gonna find out what they were discussing.

He reached the door and could hear voices coming from that room. He put his ears close to the door and he heard them a little bit.

"Did anyone see you come here?" Victoria asked.

Seriously they were definitely hiding something, Adrian thought.

"No," Jake said softly. "Everybody else is sleeping."

"Good," Victoria chuckled softly. "What I have to tell you is very important. You saw what happened today."

"Yeah," Jake muttered. "I saw everything. Nicholas has drawn further from Adrian. He doesn't even want him in his life."

Hearing that made Adrian to be filled with a lot of sad memories, he felt tears building in his eyes. So they had actually decided to meet in private just to discuss about him and Nicholas? Those two were really something.

"Yeah," Victoria laughed. "I'm glad they will break up. I'll finally have my son back."

What Adrian was hearing was just hurting him. He didn't want to hear anymore because they were probably just gossiping. He was about to pull his ear from the door when suddenly something caught his attention.

"Get ready to claim what's rightfully yours," Victoria chuckled. "Now that our plans have been successful it is only a few hours before I throw Adrian out of this house. Tomorrow is the big day."

Jake laughed softly. "I can't believe Nicholas will soon be mine. I knew your plans would work but I never thought they'd breed such results."He chuckled. "I must say you are a genius."

"I wouldn't have done this without you and your family." Victoria laughed. "Poor Adrian, he'll leave this house tomorrow."

They both laughed.

Adrian outside was surprised. His heart was pounding, his lips snarled and his fists were clenched. Of course, it now made sense. He had found the two culprits and he needed to show them that he knew what they had planned.

Adrian touched the cold knob, furious swinging it from side and opening the door. He stood in the door way while the two inside the room looked at him in surprise and shock.

Adrian couldn't still believe it. How could people stoop so low as to hurt another person in that way? He had been nothing but good and they did this to him. He was mad and he was ready to fight them but he was afraid it was too late.

At first Victoria was scared but now that she gathered her courage she was fine. She crossed her arms on her chest and smiled brightly at Adrian.

"Welcome!" She chuckled. "Please, come in."

Adrian slowly walked in and closed the door. He went near them as tears flooded his face again. The pain intensified and his poor heart was on fire.

"It...it was you." Adrian gasped, clenching his fists.

"You didn't know," Victoria gasped, touching her chest in fake astonishment. "OMG you didn't? I thought you knew." She laughed teasingly. "Guess you are not as smart as we thought you were."

"Why?" Adrian said.

"Because we hate you," Jake said teasingly. "We hate you and we wanted the game to finally end. And guess who won, us!" Jake laughed. "Your game is over and you better start packing..."

"What's there to pack?" Victoria said with an evil grin on her face. "He came with nothing and will leave with nothing."

"I'll finally take my rightful place beside my husband," Jake said, holding his cheeks in surprise. "Mr. Jake Nicholas Miller, doesn't that ring a bell?"

Adrian closed his eyes as he felt more tears leaving his eyes. He couldn't take what he had just found out. It was too much and they were absolutely right. He was gonna leave the house very soon. He could smell it from Nicholas' reaction.

"Oh," Victoria said with fake sympathy. "Poor Adrian has been defeated and he has lost his husband."

Adrian couldn't stop crying. He felt bullied and there was so much pain. He couldn't take it anymore. He didn't want to hear their voices again because they were making him mad and he knew he couldn't do anything, nothing.

"Why?" Adrian said as he clenched his fists. His lips snarled with rage as he quickly turned and began running out of the room.

"Wait!"

Victoria's voice made him freeze but he didn't turn. His face was too pitiful to show to anyone especially those good for nothing bitches. Yes, he said it. Foolish unethical bitches

"One last thing," Victoria chuckled. He heard her voice getting closer. "Please, don't forget. Tomorrow around mid-morning you'll be leaving this house."

Adrian sobbed and he stormed out of the room. He ran about a distance and then leaned to a wall and cried softly.

He had just found out the two villains in his love life. One was his stupid whore of a cousin and the other was an old foolish witch. He had found out and he knew he had to do something but what could he do. He was even warned that he'd leave the house by mid-morning. He knew that was surely gonna happen.

He wondered if he should tell his husband what had happened. But no, that was a really bad idea. Nicholas would never believe him. There was nothing to do but be ready and get out of the house. His game was over just like they had told him.
